z/XDC z2.2 Documentation

z/XDC Release z2.2 is the current release of z/XDC.

For information on which versions and releases of the z/XDC products are supported under various versions and releases of the z/OS operating system, please see our Statement of Support.

z/XDC Documentation is presented in 3 different formats:

  • The HELP Database that is built directly into z/XDC.
  • PDF documents linked below that can be accessed digitally or printed out.
  • An interactive HTML database called z/XDC Help Online that can be accessed at https://colesoft.com/help.

New users should begin with the User Guide. Experienced users will need to  look at the Maintenance and New Functionality Guide first.

z/XDC Help Online

z/XDC Help online is an interactive HTML database of all documentation and help topics in the z/XDC product.

User Guide

The User Guide contains comprehensive tutorials about the many features and capabilities of z/XDC. This should be the jumping off point for new users.

Maintenance and New Functionality Guide

This Guide contains a history of all updates made to z/XDC. This includes all fixes, all changes, all new functions, everything! Whenever we add anything new to z/XDC, its first mention will appear here. So if you are an existing z/XDC user, this is the best place to start.

Installation Guide

The Installation Guide describes how to access and install z/XDC z2.2.

Commands Reference

The Commands Reference contains the detailed syntax, usage descriptions, and examples of all of z/XDC’s commands.

Messages Reference

The Messages Reference contains descriptions of all of the messages that can be issued by z/XDC and all of its various components.

The z/XDC Primer and Quick Reference were written by Bob Shimizu to help provide an accessible overview for z/XDC.
