Welcome to ColeSoft Marketing - The Home of z/XDC® and z/XPF™ColeSoft Marketing is dedicated to the continued development of diagnostic and measurement tools for sophisticated software engineers, applications programmers and systems programmers working on the z/OS® mainframe computing platform. Our customers are among the foremost of the world’s software development houses and Fortune 500 companies. These hard-working companies collectively support the data processing activities of most of western civilization. If your insurance bill came on time and was correct, if your banking statement is accurate, if your utility bill processes correctly, then a mainframe computer generated it, and we had a small part in guaranteeing the accuracy of the results. About z/XDC for Assembler Deployment and Debugging. About z/XPF for Application Performance Measurement Find and Fix Bugs with z/XDC®z/XDC serves the software engineer by helping to find and fix “bugs” in extremely complex programming environments that are written in z/OS-based Assembler language. z/XDC allows the knowledgeable programmer to work in the Private Area of the address space, in the Common Area, or in the Private Area of ANOTHER address space on the system. z/XDC is comprehensive, extremely powerful and supports the most demanding requirements a software engineer might have. If we had to discuss what z/XDC can do in a single sentence we’d write this: "Using z/XDC, a knowledgeable programmer can find or fix bugs in any csect within any module running under any Request Block under any Task Control Block within any address space on the system including much of the operating system itself." Today, z/XDC is the premier Assembler language debugging tool in the world. It’s mature, extremely stable, and supported today by the original engineer. If you’re absolutely FRUSTRATED in trying to work in complex environments, OR if you have new people who are just learning Assembler language OR if you just can’t find where a problem is occurring, we can help you. Would you care to learn more about z/XDC? Measure your program’s resource consumption with z/XPF™z/XPF allows the Software Engineer, Applications Programmer or Systems Programmer to quickly find out how an application consumes system resources or wall-clock time. z/XPF is an entirely new technology for measurement – completely new and unique. Why is that? Instead of periodically stopping an address space in order to gather its data, z/XPF gathers data at the processor level from OUTSIDE the address space. As a result of this new technology, z/XPF can measure things that were not “visible” before, such as SVC elapsed time, Program Call/Program Return elapsed time, SRB activity, lock suspensions and I/O elapsed times, just to name a few. z/XPF does its work without any system hooks, or interference in the target application. Therefore, it doesn’t affect what it measures in any way. If your application runs with unacceptable resource consumption, or takes an unusually long time to complete, then you may need to take a close look at with z/XPF to find out WHY. We can help you!
