Cole Software is a small, solely owned, software company dedicated to the continued development of superior debugging products for programs written in Assembler Language that run on IBM® Mainframes. Our company is an Advanced Business Partner in IBM’s PartnerWorld® program.
At the center of Cole Software is, David B. Cole, who has 40 years experience in mainframe systems programming and development starting with MFT and running through MVS and today's z/OS systems. Dave has had the opportunity to work on many elements of the MVS operating system and has earned a reputation as an authority in this field. In March 2007, the article "A Conversation with Dave Cole of Cole Software" (authored by Robert Shimizu) appeared as part of Technical Support Magazine’s “Mainframe Hall of Fame” series.
Since 1988, Dave has owned and operated Cole Software from the company's Head Office located in Afton, Virginia, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. He is the author and lead developer of the company's core product, the source level assembler debugger, z/XDC, which first came to market as DBC in 1980. Today, z/XDC's users include some of the best minds in the Assembler community.
