COLE SOFTWARE ANNOUNCES z/XDC^® z1.10!

Major Developments

IBM^® System z10^™ Machine Instruction Support

AFTON, Va. , May 8, 2009 -- Cole Software LLC of Afton, VA is pleased to announce the general availability of z/XDC z1.10 for existing customers.

This latest beta version of the powerful Assembler debugging tool, z/XDC, includes support for:

75 new machine instructions introduced by IBMs new System z10 processor
Setting hooks into programs in store-protected storage
Setting hooks into PC routines, SRBs, locked code, etc.
Debugging problem state PC routines
Feature-based licensing

Unfortunately, our hope for releasing the new c/XDC Feature has not come to fruition in this release. We have had to postpone c/XDC when we realized thyat a major re-design would be necessary. That's the bad news.

The good news is that due to the hard work of our loyal beta testers, the basic design is feasible and do-able. After this next round of back-room work, c/XDC will SOON be available.

Dave Cole, Brad Snyder and Frank Chu have been laboring diligently throughout this year to bring you z/XDC Release z1.10. The rest of us at Cole Software are VERY grateful for their hard work.

z/XDC Release z1.10 will run on all z/OS systems from V1R6 to V1R10.
