COLE SOFTWARE ANNOUNCES GENERAL AVAILABILITY OF z/XDC^® RELEASE z1.3

AFTON, Va. , May 19, 2004/ -- z/XDC z1.3^®, our newest release in the XDC line of assembler development tools, and featuring autocloning, improved program object support and many other changes, is now generally available!

Cole Software LLC of Afton, VA is pleased to announce the availability of release z1.3 of z/XDC^®. Existing z/XDC customers who wish to upgrade to this latest release can do so by sending a request to support@colesoft.com.

Release z1.3 features:

• Program Object Support: Comprehensive support for loading and using module maps for all program objects regardless of the object's degree of complexity.
• Autocloning: A new method of automatically generating entire series of equates and dsect maps to represent entries in a table or control blocks on a chain.
• Case Sensitivity: Improved support in module maps for case sensitive section names and entry names.
• New Built-in Equates: New built-in equates, including a series for labeling storage pointed to by registers.
• New Formatting Operands: New operands allow you to control the initial formatting bias (instruction display versus data display) of the storage display formatting commands: FORMAT, WHERE, and SHOW.
• In addition: Storage formatted by the FORMAT and WHERE commands will now display the storage protect key, eliminating the need to use the DISPLAY command to obtain this information.
• Improved Mapped Storage Displays: The displayed location of CSECT map offsets are now relative to the map's assembly time origin, not its actual starting point. The displayed location of DSECT map offsets are now relative to the map's zero point, not its actual starting point.
• Online Help: Enhancements to z/XDC's Online Help.

A z/XDC z1.3 Release Guide is available. It provides detailed information about all the new features and changes implemented in z1.3.

This release of z/XDC z1.3 is the latest in a long line of comprehensive debugging tools developed by David Cole since 1978.
